BE A GIVER
EVERY DAY

The Keren Hashana Fund by Machne Israel, was established by the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of blessed memory, to ensure that people perform the mitzvah of giving tzedaka—daily.

Keren Hashana disburses your tzedaka money twice daily, before morning and afternoon services, for charitable purposes, assuring you of fulfilling the mitzvah of giving to charity every day of the year.

Keren Hashana, a unique charitable fund, makes giving to charity easy, in fact, it will actually do the mitzvah for you and for each member of your family!

“All those who wish to trust me, may contribute the said amount to the General Fund under my auspices...”
-The Rebbe, 24 Tishrei, 1953

Inaugural Sicha of Keren Hashana
The Rebbe introduces and encourages a new method of daily giving.

In a number of instances, the Rebbe sent a copy of this sicha when asked about the significance of Keren Hashana.

”In response to your question regarding Tzedakah 385* [Keren Hashana] attached herewith is a copy of the Sicha where it is explained"

[Igros Kodesh, vol. 15, page 84]

*At the onset of the establishment of Keren Hashana, it was referred to by the days of the year, i.e., Tzedakah 385.

MAKE ONE CONTRIBUTION, GET THE MITZVAH EVERY SINGLE DAY OF THE YEAR

Our Sages teach us the great importance of the mitzvah of tzedakah and encourage us to do so daily.

The Lubavitcher Rebbe, of blessed memory, established a unique fund seventy two years ago, which ensures that we perform the mitzvah of tzedakah—every single day of the year.

Make one contribution to Machne Israel’s Keren Hashana, in an amount corresponding to the number of days in the new year 5786 (354), and monies from the fund will be donated on your behalf twice daily for charitable purposes.

As we begin the new year, contribute to the Keren Hashana daily tzedakah fund, for yourself and for all your family members.
